Self-Confidence, Physical Impact, and Mood in People with Multiple Sclerosis

All forms of MS (Relapsing remitting MS, Secondary progressive MS, Primary progressive MS, Clinically isolated syndrome, Relapsing MS)
Brief Summary
The purpose of this study is to explore the effects that the physical impacts of MS, or one’s belief in their ability to manage MS well, have on their tendency to experience depressive symptoms.
Inclusion Criteria
• have been diagnosed with MS at least 3 months ago
• are aged 18 years and over
• have no diagnosis of a physical condition that currently affects physical functioning apart from MS (e.g. arthritis), and have no diagnosis of a psychological condition that currently severely affects mood or psychological functioning (e.g. Severe Major Depressive Disorder; cognitive impairment).
Exclusion Criteria
• Have not been diagnosed with MS for at least 3 months
• Are aged bellow 18 years
• have a diagnosis of a physical condition that currently affects physical functioning apart from MS (e.g. arthritis)
• have diagnosis of a psychological condition that currently severely affects mood or psychological functioning (e.g. Severe Major Depressive Disorder; cognitive impairment).
